StoryWalk®

What's a StoryWalk®?

A StoryWalk® is an innovative way to combine reading and exercise. It involves placing pages of a children's picture book along a path, typically in a park or trail, so that readers and families can walk and read the story together. The pages are placed along the path, creating a sequential reading experience as visitors walk from one page to the next.

StoryWalk® was created in 2007 by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, in collaboration with former staff member Rachel Senechal, and is a registered service mark of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® now exist across the U.S. and worldwide in 13 countries including Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea!
